Description
Like I said on the previous one, this was done for a class project.
The character is a reinvention of Gretel from the fairytale. Anyway, I think her design came out successful.
Basically, she (like the witch as well) is a shapeshifter (go figure--hey don't say anything lol); as her head covering reminded me of a caterpillar I thought one form she can take was a silkworm. When she and Hansel are abandoned during a moonlit night, she unravels the thread from a silkworm cocoon to leave a silver trail behind them.

Oh my gosh, the coloring and painting and texture detail! URGH.
I am slowly going through submitted deviations and saw this and it jumped at me.
I'm so slow I hate myself, but argh...going to try and clear all this up and comments to boot before I start on anything. @_@;
Again, this is beautiful, I love your painting style, this is a beautiful design and very thoughtful concept!
But bringing up that this is Gretel...reminded me of how much I used to fear this fairy tale because of this live action show I watched that did different fairy tales, and Hansel and Gretel episode scared me the most, because of the witch.
